Founder Billy Benner, after having worked independently for several years as a bar manager, security guard and security manager, incorporated M & B Security in March of 2015. The company was conceived out of a clear demand for high quality and well-trained security guards in all fields of the industry from patrol/site security to hospitality security. Through the process of putting in extra effort to find the right people for the right places and creating a family atmosphere with high standards and education, training people in not only security but also hospitality we have managed to build an outstanding roster of well-trained and capable security professionals willing to get the job done the right way!

Billy Benner

An Eugene, Oregon native and graduate from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a Minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Billy started his career in the service industry and climbed the ladder of available positions at every location. No job too big or too small Benner ran all operations from staffing and payroll to serving customers. When he moved to Portland he quickly took on roles at 2 very well established corporate sports bars, which included Grand Central Bowl and Blitz Sports Pubs. Over the years of working he carried many titles due to his wealth of knowledge, experience and demeanor including District Manager of Security for the entire company; overseeing three bar security units as well as a patrol unit. This was all accomplished while he was also the Assistant General Manager of one of the 3 pub locations. In a career shift Benner was offered a job with a well-established company as General Manager. After some time, and seeing how things are run in different environments He not only saw a need for well-trained staff in the security field but also saw a need for a company that values its people. With this passion and insight, Benner and Elzie joined to begin M&B Security.
